As a follow on to our mid year function this year and the amazing blankets each of our staff members were gifted with, we decided that we wanted to spread the love and donate the same number of blankets to a local charity. Insight Consulting then decided to open this up to our staff who were to glad to jump in and donate a further 20 blankets as well. This gave us a total of 70 blankets we were able to distribute.
After some research and sifting through various plights on social media, we decided to donate the blankets to a charity by the name of Elders Voice KZN.
“The Elders Voice KZN was established to assist in fighting for the rights of the Aged, which allows them to live with Dignity in their Old Age. We are an elderly community upliftment initiative located in Durban and keep shared elderly living home based care places of residence running to cater for vulnerable senior citizens. Elder’s Voice KZN provides hope and dignity to the elderly.”
On the 21 July 2021, with a Ford Ecosport loaded to the max, we set off for Elders Voice KZN…
The pure joy and gratitude experienced when handing out the blankets was such a humbling experience. There is no greater joy than that of bringing joy to others!
